Field Notes

Description:

A succulent in the hills by the Merced River, red and yellow "flower" with greenish-red leaves, quite small--about 5-7" in height.

Habitat:

Mariposa County, CA, foothills.

Notes:

The populations of this plant seemed isolated; there were just a few pockets where there were three to five plants along the hills.
