Field Notes

Description:

Also called Goat's Beard. The flowers bear some resemblance to dandelions, being yellow and full of small flat petals. Salsify is bigger and somewhat spikier looking though, and has slender spiky leaves and stems. The seeds look similar to dandelion seeds as well, but are much bigger.
