Description:

Corvus corax; the raven is the only breeding corvid on Iceland.

Habitat:

The raven though, breeds commonly in all regions of Iceland. It prefers to breed on cliffs and start early (late March - April). The birds form life-long mating bonds. Breeding birds generally stay in their breeding areas, whereas non-mated birds tend to form groups near urban regions where food is plenty.

Awesome set of pics! In the last pic he is perched precariously on the edge of the cliff!
Wow, I didn't know that ravens were the only breeding corvids in Iceland! Seems strange to someone living where you can see so many different kinds of corvids everyday! An absolutely gorgeous set of photos, brilliant!
