Description:

This is a fully grown long legged, jet black female, that possesses the typical characteristic of a red hourglass-shaped marking on its underside. The red spots on its back are not prevalent in all Black Widows.

Habitat:

The Black Widow is found most commonly in the southern United States and found as far north as Canada. Their webs are spun in all directions with no particular pattern, and can be found in crevices and other dark, hidden areas.
