Description:

Unknown plant, two to three feet tall, with soft spines lining the stem. Small white buds along stems; serrated leaves.

Habitat:

Caswell Memoral State Park, Ripon, CA in the spring. Riparian habitat.

It looks like a well-eaten stinging nettle to me, so DON'T touch it!! If you do the best way to get out the stinging hairs is to run your affected area under hot water. Your pores with open and the hairs will fall out of your skin.
