Description:
This organism lives beneath water surfaces in freshwater habitats, but prefer to live in ponds, slow rivers, and streams.
An adaptation that this organism has is to absorb dissolved oxygen all over their body surface which allows them to breathe underwater.
This organism eats zooplankton, and invertebrate larvae. Some eat plants, detritus, and even mussels.
