Description:
Beautiful example of a Honu or Turtle found in Hawaii. These turtles have beautiful shell patterns in a variety of browns, oranges and reds. Very inquisitive and generally unafraid of humans. I saw several during a recent trip to the big island and Kauai.
Habitat:
Found this one at a beach near Kona. After this picture was taken he surfaced for a breath and slowly swam away.
