Large non-stinging wasp, known as a horntail.

Habitat:

Near some weeds at the IKEA parking lot.

What a neat insect. I've never seen anything like it!
@ Krista- and theyt do not sting! @ Karen- It always happens... A few days ago I was doing some gardening when this pretty moth landed right next to me. Of course I did not have my camera...
I saw one today in Oregon, but didn't have my camera
A big stinger! I guess I upset it as I was trying to take the picture. It landed on my back. I thought I was about to get stung on the head! It just crawled around my back then my arm allowing me to take few pictures then it landed near some weeds allowing me to take few more pictures. I think it is a friendly wasp!
A bit fearless? It looks like it has a stinger! Clear good pictures
