Exactly Ashish, the turkey vulture is doing quite well, but many species in Asia have seen a drop in population of 95% in the past 10 years! They provide a great service by consuming carrion before diseases are allowed to fester.

Spotting of the Day! "Lacking a syrinx, the vocal organ of birds, Turkey Vultures can only vocalize through grunting and hissing. Spread the word about these masters of soaring flight and help celebrate International Vulture Awareness Day!" http://www.facebook.com/projectnoah/posts/268131803205730 http://twitter.com/projectnoah/status/110162321720086528
