Description:

A sought after winter visitor, Stoliczka's Bushchat has quite some mysterious ways to go about its business. This grassland beauty does what is termed as a 'Puff & Roll' routine while on the ground. Although, it is not known why it does something like this but it sure is mind-boggling to watch it take a few steps on the ground (as if chasing something or being chased) then suddenly brake, puff up the chest and move it from one side to the other. As it stops for a while, you're thinking that the performance is over.. but to your surprise does it all over again and again.

Habitat:

Grassland of Greater Rann of Kutch.

Bold as brass! Excellent spotting.
Terrific behavioral spotting!
Your spotting has been nominated for the Spotting of the Week. The winner will be chosen by the Project Noah Rangers based on a combination of factors including: uniqueness of the shot, status of the organism (for example, rare or endangered), quality of the information provided in the habitat and description sections. There is a subjective element, of course; the spotting with the highest number of Ranger votes is chosen. Congratulations on being nominated!
Lovely picture, lovely notes!
