Field Notes

Description:

Pink-red patches on this nose, nick and breast. He has markings like a House Finch but lighter, even in the brown feathers. I think this is a new to one year old male House Finch. The adult males have bright red where this one has pinkish-red.

Habitat:

North America.

Notes:

Another spotting of an adult male at one of my feeders.
