Description:

This case-moth (Psychidae) is using ti-tree leaves as a shelter and camouflage. Recently added leaves are still green.

Habitat:

Associated with ti-tree

Notes:

There were about six case-moths nearby.

This one could hide in Cairns just acting like a pineapple.
Thanks Stephen. Thanks Mark. I am in Cairns now and have found many psychidae. They hide well under broad leaved tropical plants. I'll make that my next spotting. (next week).
have not seen one with green bits before, looks like it grew there
