Description:

Varies in color from tan to green. Feeds on hemlock, a coniferous tree common in the pacific northwest coastal region

Habitat:

near porchlight in the am

colors slightly yellower in reality

That's why I"m still uncertain. I'll keep an open mind though
I do not mind if you not accept my ID.. Actually your images are little bit out of focus.. Thats why you not able match. I am confirm its what mentioned in ID.... Most import its exact match with wing shape and colour shade and design.. Its Tetracis pallulata
I see what you're seeing..... I do know that from your first link I id'd a different moth I'd been working on! There's something about some of those pictures that isn't quite right, although the one from washington st does look somewhat closer than the ones from California. I'm still looking but leaning towards tetracis
Hi.. Karen.. look carefully shape of Lambdina fiscellaria is different..!!
so many moths! Now I'm torn between Tetracis jubararia and the one I found. It was quite bright in color

I could not find a snout moth that fit, but the hemlock looper does
