Description:

Magenta flowered, multi-stemmed deciduous tree with elongated oval leaves. The last image was taken from the same tree (different lighting) on Oct 11th so you can see how long the flowers can last.

LOL, actually crepe myrtle sounds right. I seem to recall someone mentioning that name when commenting on all the pink trees around right now. I'll look into it.
They look like crepe myrtle on steroids to me....but can't find anyone who can confirm.
