Description:

Spotted this beautiful flower on the forest ground hiking on the North Trail going towards the Pygmy Forest in Salt Point State Park, CA. It is a dicot, is a perennial herb that is native to California and is also found outside of California, but is confined to western North America. It is a species of lugume.

Habitat:

Salt Point State Park, CA forest ground.
