Description:
This species of bracket fungus seems to harbor life on its cap -- moss has made itself a happy home on this mushroom's surface.
Habitat:
Growing in little families on dead trees, firmly attached to the bark (if they were going around the tree in stair-like fashion, one could easily use them to walk up a tree. This one supported my own teenage weight of 140 pounds without even budging).
