First and foremost I will have to find the camera first. My husband used it for taking pictures of the air conditioner which needs repairing. this rabbit is totally wild. But i really love interacting with wild creatures and certain tactics like closing your eyes when you talk to them work. if its birds , i whistle to them. i observed that all kinds of critters love interaction. i was using Kodak easy share for a while,but the settings are messed up . i started using using another one which is really quite out dated. i will send you the details when I find the camera. i wonder though ,is it important to have great equipment or a good photoshop program? Ashish ,thanks for wishing me 3000 spottings. But the more spottings you have more is the responsibility of identifying them correctly and the more write ups to be done. All the hiking is given me a very sore foot. BTW Ashish,when you go hiking so much don't you end up with sore feet?

I believe Emma is not Photographer, she is great observer so is not able to capture good pictures. She is expert on life, creatures and many things. Due to her priority on observation on organism she can not concentrate on photography than observation. I think Canon SX30-IS will add great photographic opportunity to her for great spottings...!!

I can suggest you only Canon SX40-IS Fits all choices of your spottings.... In a year your spottings count will reach 3,000... I am ready to bet.... :)

@pyoung, http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7199628 There are lots of Acorn Wood peckers too. people have started using succulents for landscaping. We also have a Ruth Bancroft garden which has basically native American plants and succulents. Ruth Bancroft is 103 and still alive.

That looks like a interesting area! On top of a mountain! Wow!! I looked it up and its beautiful!! You could get some gorgeous photos there. Are there any cactus plants in your area that you could photograph?
