Field Notes

Description:

Peppered wings with white "fuzzy" back and leg frills on upper half of each leg. "Feathers" extending from rear of abdomen like a tail. Approx. 1.25".

Habitat:

Near open fields with sparse hardwood stands

Notes:

Unusual. Never seen this moth in our area....
