Field Notes

Description:

These small bushes grow in my front garden and even after the very harsh winter we had they had a nice amount of late winter / early spring flowers, most of the white variety.

Andromeda early bloomers: `Dorothy Wycoff' has very glossy leaves that turn a reddish green in winter and pink flowers. `Valley Valentine' is compact, blooms so early that its pink or white flowers have been on display in a snowbank.

Habitat:

USDA hardiness zones 4 – 8, native to mountain regions of eastern and southern Asia, eastern North America and Cuba.
