Description:

Almost ran over him while he was crossing the road in our residential neighborhood. He only retreated into his shell once, and he kept arching his neck WAY back toward my hand. (Trying to bite me?) He was very active and seemed healthy. There was no damage apparent anywhere on his shell.

Habitat:

Residential suburban neighborhood
