A lone S. Plover running and eating along the shore of a brackish pond. Spotted at the Arcata Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary, Arcata, Ca., U.S.

First shot especially nice. Pretty bird, much like a killdeer, but only with one stripe. A Killdeer is a plover, so same general family.
