Field Notes

Description:

One of the yellow sulphurs, also known as the Clouded Sulphur. Medium sized with black spots on the underwing. This species also has a white spot on each underwing.

Habitat:

Gardens, fields and just about any location that contains flowers. A very common species populating vegetable gardens, flower beds and landscaping designed to attract butterflies.

Notes:

On this day most of these butterflies were found on yellow prairie flowers.
