This plant is popular in the Southern part of the United States. It was finally named the Seven Sisters because of its multiple colored blooms. It looks like many flowers were growing together, or seven sisters together. That may also have been a translation from the old Oriental.
The blooms are smaller though, usually no more than 2 inches or so. This is a very vigorous climber, sometimes getting up to 20 feet tall!
