Description:
This is Bob, my adult female Chilean rose. I've got her for 8 years now but she was already adult when I got her so she is probably somewhere between 12 and 16 years old. Her body is about 6 cm and her leg span is 12 cm.
Habitat:
The G. rosea's natural habitat is the desert and scrub regions of Northern Chile, Bolivia, and Argentina. While previously thought to be vagabonds in nature, large numbers have been observed living in burrows in their natural habitat. They generally do not burrow in captivity. They are usually active in the evening or night.
I Keep Bob in a 70x50x40 cm terrarium, on 3 cm forest substrate and her enclosure is made the look like her natural habitat.
Notes:
She has a realy relaxt character and doesn't mind being touched or picked up. thats why she is used for educational purposes at schools, nursing homes and juvenile prisons. She also is a photo model :)
