Field Notes

Description:

Their dry, wavy, slightly wrinkled caps are about the size of a hand palm. They were growing in clusters and have pronounced cream colored ring skirts.

Habitat:

I found these mushrooms sprouting from wood mulch and patches of grass after a heavy summer rain.
