Field Notes

Description:

Approximately six feet with black body and white and black patterned belly.

Habitat:

Wooded areas, fields, and farms.

Notes:

Found in NY section of Appalachian trail in bushes near fresh water lake. He was fairly calm when I picked him up and when I went to let him go he decided not to let me go and hung out on my arm for about ten minutes until I nudged him off onto a log. Even then he stuck around and slid up over my shoulder and down my back to leave.
