Field Notes

Description:

Bird nest. Constructed of small twigs, bits of twine, and dried seepods (grape hyacinth?). Inside contained several fluffy feathers.

Habitat:

A grass strip between the street and the sidewalk in a suburban neighborhood.

Notes:

I spotted this from inside a moving car - and insisted that we turn around so that I could get it and take it home with me. The cat found it quite interesting.
