Field Notes

Description:

Brown moth - darker brown on most of wings, with three distinct lighter brown markings along the apex, outer margin and base of the forewing. Thin band of light brown along the margin of the hindwing, and orange/red markings on the hindwing.

Habitat:

Suburban neighborhood.

Notes:

Fogive the poor quality - unfortunately the flash of my camera scared him away before I could get a better image.
