Description:

Large brown male Flower Fly with red eyes, bronze coloring and a banded abdomen. I haven't seen this species before. Family Syrphidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
