Field Notes

Description:

Very Large all white Gull. Similar in size to Lesser Black-backed Gulls nearby. All White gull with light brown coloration and white wing tips.
The bill is ivory to very slightly fleshy pink with dark coloration at the end. Its eyes are mainly white and the legs look fleshy colored.

Habitat:

Spotted on the south end of the Jeckyll Island shoreline along the water. It is many miles from it normal habitat near the arctic circle. They have been known to come as far south as the Great Lakes region and sometimes as far south as NC.

Notes:

The gull has been hanging around this area since mid-June 2020
