The leafs of this plant is used to treat fungi on the skin. There is a variation that is edible, is bitter but healthy
This spotting shows the fruit, red seeds and flower:http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/5572955 My yard got overrun with these vines, so beware--happens quickly.
It does look like it. It's actually thin skin. It opens up and has little red beads inside. Grows on a type of vine
