Field Notes

Description:

This lizard appears imposing as he commands a regal view atop his lichen-ridden rock. His majesty looks all the more royal with his unique blue-scaled collar. However, he has a frail little heart that is fearful of even a casual hiker like myself and runs along to do his business elsewhere.

Habitat:

These are found hurrying along rocks, dirt, up and down trees, and they are quite difficult to capture in a picture because of that. Thankfully, this guy was poised on a rock above me and I could get some.

Notes:

That beautiful blue collar is absolutely amazing!
