Metriorhynchus rhipidium is now called Porrostoma rhipidium and is only found in Australia. It also has an all-black thorax.
Yes, they are. I think this antennae shape increase a lot the contact area so it is much more sensible to "scents".
You're quite welcome. I've bumped into these insects on a couple of occasions, but had never gotten to photograph them until last week. Those antennae are fantastic, aren't they?
