Description:

Very tall plant with a reddish stem. Flat-topped clusters of flowers develop at the top of the plant. The leaves of this plant often have white or pale undersides (as seen in this example). Native to North America.

Habitat:

Growing on the edge of a clearing bordering temperate forest. Shenandoah National Park, Virginia.
