P.S. Nice pictures! I've read that Mourning Doves tend to build nests that fall apart. That looks like a fairly sturdy nest. Good Mama Dove!
I agree with Shawn. The easiest way to tell a mourning dove is their mournful wail when one mate calls the other.
Going by the visible markings in the picture, it looks like a Mourning Dove. It's got the bluish ring around the eye, the black line behind the eye, and the black spot on the cheek.
Bird Experts! Please check out this picture. I don't recognize this dove -there must be a more specific name. Good picture of eggs also.
