Field Notes

Description:

Very variable medium to tall bulbous perennial, smelling strongly of onion or garlic when crushed, to 1.5m.

Habitat:

fallow and waste land, roadsides, sandy coastal habitats, scrub.

Notes:

Widespread around the Mediterranean. Widespread and common on Crete.
