Desert Willow
Chilopsis linearis
32.1995, -110.968
Field Notes
Description:
Found growing wild here in town, commonly called "Desert Willow" despite being part of the bignonia family. Many people like having these in their yards due to their vibrant, showy flowers and because the plant is built to last intense drought.
Notes:
My father named the shrub after me; glad I'm still standing. :)
