Description:

Tree that's growing outside my front door. Looks like berries growing on it, but I'm fairly certain that's not what they are. Any idea what it is?

Thanks! Now, I know what the tree is...but I'm still not sure about eating the berries off it. :)
Originally imported from Japan as an ornamental for its resistance against a fungus that attacks the native flowering dogwood.
