Field Notes

Description:

This large (5 to 6.5 inches) butterfly is bright white. There are small eye spots on the underside of the wings and a few brown markings. Spotted in captivity; see notes.

Habitat:

Mexico and Central America. Tropical, but variable. Wet forests to dry environments.

Notes:
