Field Notes

Description:

Another tachinid fly feeding on rabbitbrush flowers. Rabbitbrush is incredibly common in the southwestern US, and when it's in full bloom (late summer) it is a great place to spot all kinds of bees, hoverflies, and other interesting insects.

I saw the two flies several hours apart, in different fields. So they didn't seem like part of the same spotting. :) Thanks!
You need to put both flies on the same page. Thank You. Good Pictures!
