Field Notes

Habitat:

The female wasp lays an egg inside the roach (egg case)...The larvae of these solitary wasps feed on cockroaches and develop inside the egg-cases (oothecae) of their hosts... Technically, they are thus predators...The adults drink nectar from flowers and neither they nor the larvae are dangerous or harmful to humans. source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evaniidae

Notes:

Spotted on the window screen inside the my mom's house. Since learning of their behavior here in Project Noah, I came to appreciate seeing them inside the house ^_^
