Field Notes

Description:

Very large black and yellow striped caterpillars, with red/orange heads. They seemed to be doing quite a bit of damage in large numbers.

Habitat:

I found these munching foliage down below the back deck of our Villa On the Island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin islands.
