Description:

Red Lionfish is a venomous carnivore with an average life span of 15 years. Its size is about 30-38 cm and can weigh upto 1.8 kg. A sting from Lionfish could be extremely painful for humans, so divers should try and stay away from it by not touching or poking it.

Habitat:

These are seen mainly in the reefs and rocky crevices of the Indo-Pacific.
