I don't think he would eat a bird. He usually runs away from other animals if they are comparable to his size. :) But he does catch grasshoppers and dragonflies at times and kills them to hone his hunting skills.

Thanks Satyen. I made a mistake on thinking they were the same. Actually I have seen an emerald dove too here. It was injured and was sitting in our balcony. My dog went to see it and started licking it. I think he scared the bird and it flew away scattering its feathers allover.
