Ceropegia santapaui

Ceropegia santapaui is tuberous, twining, narrow leaved species with many flowered cyme. It grows among grasses on the unstable wet rocks ,cliffs in western Ghat's
It is collected by B.M wadhwa in 1966 near Satara and later described and identified by M.Y, Ansari and named after botanist santapau remembering his work in Indian botany
Flowers are very small and delicate as this species is restricted to very narrow area it faces high risk of extinction because of landslides ,road winding , construction work in Ghat area or roadside clearing. in-situ and ex-situ careful conservation of this species is needed
Notes - small white flowers,climbing herb,many flowers , corona uniseriate , narrow leaves , very sensitive to the atmosphere , high rainfall , endemic to Maharashtra closely allied to the ceropegia huberi
