Description:
Large bluish-gray bird with long legs and "s" shaped necks . Crown has white stripe wtih black plume that runs to the back of neck. Shaggy feathers on neck and back.
Habitat:
Found in fresh and saltwater marshes, mangrove swamps, flooded meadows, lake edges, and shorelines near open water.
