Description:

My husband and I were staying at a resort in Negril, and I had to go out one morning to see if I could photograph the wonderful little hummers I'd noticed buzzing around. These were the best photos I took of them. They make a whirring sound as they fly because of those 2 long tail feathers (this fellow had broken one of his).

Thank you, Sarah! No, it isn't a banana. I am not sure what the plant is; it had a big pink flower and large waxy leaves. You can see it a bit in the first photo, and more in the second one.
