Field Notes

Description:

This Eastern Grey Squirrel demanded to have his picture taken. When I did not notice him at first, he threw a date (he is in a date palm) at the ground near my feet to get my attention. (I'm assuming his aim is not just bad.) Then he posed in these very innocent looking poses.

Habitat:

Spotted in a suburban coastal area in the tropical south.

@ Sarah .now you are a squirrel expert! Thnx for the info on the western fence lizard! http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7080204 We need your feedback on the above spotting!. Thanks in advance.
He hasn't thrown anything lately. I guess he is happy now. Of course, he does rustle the fronds. Wouldn't want me to forget that my best model is up there...
Haha, what a great model! That's so cute :) The squirrels near my house like to throw acorns at me when I come past... maybe they want me to get my camera out! This is adorable Sarah, love it :)
Thanks! It must have been the height (and his many escape routes) that made him happy to pose.
Cute shot up in the Sabal palmetto!
