Description:

This is actually an accidental shot of an accidental bird. I was attempting to catch some Great Egrets as they were landing and didn't realize until I viewed the shots (poor shots at that!) at home, that this Snowy Egret was among the 12 or so Great Egrets.

Habitat:

The field guide I use shows Snowys coming as far north as Southeastern Oregon. To find this bird in Southwestern Washington state is considered accidental.

Notes:

Despite the poor shots, I was quite pleased to add this bird to my life list.
