Field Notes

Description:

Little under 1 inch long. Obviously a hemipteran, possibly a shield bug or stink bug.

Habitat:

Kaanapali coast

Notes:

Looked everywhere in bugguide.net and general searches and turned up nothing that looked similar. The metallic colors and spike-like projections under the wings (not sure what they are) made it tough to match.
